Entrepreneurs have to support other entrepreneurs. If not, the entire amazing thing dies. Ideas will wither. Stars will dimmer. Doors will close. Business will go under. Each and every one of us has to make it a point to find – and then support – our most favorite entrepreneurs.
We have to do this for ourselves. To prove to us, that it is possible to connect our ideas with others.
We have to do this for all other trailblazers – grinding it out for a deep, deep belief in their dreams.
We have to support our team.
My dear friend Gaby Basora (owner of Tucker) and I have that relationship. A few times a year, I make my way over to her showroom and happily gobble up my fav pieces. Bright yellow billowy-sleeve top. Grey and pink silk jacket. Flower short-shorts in silk. I lay it down for her.
Gabby, on random nights, will stroll into our shop with her totally awesome hubby and lay it down for me. Some Davines shampoo & conditioner. Some Mimi Holiday lingerie. A Lopeti hat.
It’s like that with us. And I like it this way.
Tonight Gabby strolled in. With of course, her totally awesome hubby. We all talked while she shopped.
It’s not every time that we’re together that we shop. In fact, it is the least of our friendship. But whenever I need a nice-new-somethin-somethin, I call my girl. And whenever she runs empty on the good-smelling-yum-yums for her bathroom, she comes a knockin.
It’s true, what you put out, comes back to you. And even before it comes back to you….one must put out again. This is the obligation of the entrepreneur. Entrepreneurs must support other entrepreneurs.
Keep it going!
