Papa Bear and I do a lot of driving. With 4 kids we never fly anywhere with the family. But that doesn’t stop us from making our rounds and traveling. We load up the GMC Yukon Danali XL and it’s Ready.Set.Go!
When I drive I blast my music (regardless of who’s sleeping). I’m on Gil Scott Heron, Drake, Minnie Riperton, Lionel Ritchie, @KiloKish. They get me going.
At first PapaBear’s electronic books put me promptly to sleep, especially the guy who kept saying, ”Rock it.” “Nail it.” “That’s how I do it.” All in reference to building a successful business. I tuned him o.u.t.
But this last book was good. It got me thinking. I’m ready for the Fall, I’m ready for the work. I’m ready to shift gears. But as we all know by now, random, frantic energy is a total waste. So here’s my plan:
1/IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES
Always think beyond what first comes to mind. Be willing to expand way past your initial thought.
2/WRITE DOWN YOUR DREAM
Welcome to Magic 101. Putting pen to paper is the first of several steps to materializing you dreams. It works.
3/KNOW WHAT’S AT STAKE
Understand what it will take to get what you want. Some things in your current life will shift while you’re grinding towards the future. Be prepared.
4/MOVE TOWARD YOUR DREAM
Go forward. Work hard. Don’t sabotage your self.
Dates in your calendar with alerts are great ways to stay on course. They bring you back to reality, and every entrepreneur needs that!
6/DEFINE YOUR GOALS
Make a list of everything you want. Don’t be embarrassed if things sound materialistic or even silly to others. Goals are what you need, not what others want or even understand. Sneak Peek: Mine range from Earn 1 million dollars annually to Marry PapaBear to Move family to Ghana to Have a well maintained & perfect website.
7/REVIEW GOALS DAILY
Imprint your goals onto your psyche. Commit them to memory. The subconscious is SO strong, it’s surprising what it does when you invite it to help you out.
8/HAVE AN ELEVATOR PITCH
You never know who and when you’ll meet people that might be able to help you on your path. Be ready to communicate what your doing, easily and concisely – at any moment.
This is my as-of-today, plan of action. What’s yours?
